1) How popular is BBC Radio 1? Find average listening figures for the station. How has the BBC Radio 1 audience declined over recent years? Why might this have happened?
2) Who is the target audience for BBC Radio 1?
3) How does Plan B promote Ill Manors in this interview?
4) What representation of Plan B can we find in this interview?

1. The average number of listeners are 11 million. The figures are declining because the use of the internet, namely YouTube, is what is generally used to hear interviews or listen to music. Also the decline of listeners are due to other stations taking the spotlight. Radio stations such as Radio 2 and Radio 4.

2. The target audience would be young people, 17-30. This is because this station features majority modern artists from the music industry. The psychographic group of mainstreamers. This is because the people featured in this radio station are usually mainstream, influential pop artists.

3. Included the release date which makes listeners aware of when the film is going to be screened. Also, by Plan B showing his dedication in editing and directing the film causes anticipation because he presents himself as working tirelessly to finish the film to the best of his ability so listeners would want to see whether all his hard work has paid off.

4. Plan B is represented as caring for where he was originally brought up as he was saying how the Olympic park has brought new attention to the East End of London. Also he is represented to have a heart for young people. This is as he was talking on how he employed youth from in and around the local area to star in his film. He added that he hopes that starring in his film would open doors of opportunity for them in the future.

1) What is the history of the Jonathan Ross show? What channels has it appeared on? Why has Jonathan Ross been a controversial media figure in the past?
2) Identify the target audience for this interview (demographics/psychographics) and say why.
3) What is the audience appeal for a programme like the Jonathan Ross show?
4) How is Plan B (the brand) represented in this text?

1. The Jonathan Ross show was first broadcasted on September 3rd 2011 on Itv after his pervious series Friday Night with Jonathan Ross was stopped in July 2010. During 2013, the amount of views of this chat show declined as audiences enjoyed the atmosphere of The Graham Norton Show instead and also claiming the chat show had a poor selection of guests.

2. The target audience for this programme would be more middle aged, working class people the demographic A,B,C1. This is because Jonathan Ross has gained a reputation for being a chat host for many years and is even regarded by ITV as "the king of talk shows". As he has been in the industry for many years, it would appeal to the audience that are older as they have followed him through his early years to the present.

3. The audience appeal of this show is that there are usually a whole bunch of celebrities that have been in the spotlight of the media, whether starring in a new film or releasing a new album. This show appeals to people who want to keep up with what is new in the media as well those who are fans of the stars guesting at the chat show on that episode.

4. Plan B's brand is represented here because he talks about his ideologies about the youth needing support and compassion. Also, as he was performing on the show later on, Plan B, as a musician is shown as he is going to perform one of the tracks that is newly released.

1) What does this tell us about Plan B's intentions in making the film?
2) What do we learn about the production process for Ill Manors?
3) What can you tell about the possible target audience from this short documentary?
4) Does the film successfully do what director Ben Drew (Plan B) set out to achieve? Explain your answer with reference to both the film and the making of documentary.

From this documentary we are able to say that the intention of the creation of this film is to express the reality of the life of youth in the East End of London. This gives insight to the struggles modern day youth face. This is also an honest interpretation of the side of life that is often ignored. This shows how there is a genuine need for change. Also, it is to show the audience between how life was before and life like now. Shows the shift in the quality of life before and now. In a way this production was to raise awareness about how the youth are being ignored and being outcasts in society that they are resulting in criminal behaviour.

We learn that the some of the actors used weren't actors by profession but people that are living in that situation around the local area. This meant that the acting was genuine as the cast were acting from the experience of actually living in that situation. Also, it gave the film a more genuine feel as the actors aren't staging the way that they talk or faking their personality but are portraying their honest self. Also the location of the scenes were shot live and not in a studio. This further enhances the realism of the film as it captures the actual locations of the East End. This is all down to a low budget.

The target audience of this short documentary are the audience that are able create change. So this would be the people who have prejudices towards the youth and council bred kids. This is because it shows the hardship they deal with and what they result doing because of the lack of resources and support from the government. Initially, the audience would be the rioters however people who are of higher class should be interested in this film according to this documentary because it gives insight to their standard of life.

This film successfully arouses emotion and points of discussion and successfully encourages viewers to re-evaluate how they perceive modern day youth. Emotion is evoked from the audience because of how harsh the plot is to the characters. Furthermore the bleak sense of reality evokes sympathy as audiences relate the film to real life. Discussion is created through Plan B's choice of casting unprofessional actors sparks debate as having an unknown cast is considered unorthodox.

1) What is SBTV? Research the channel and explain how it became successful.
Identify the target audience for this interview (demographics/psychographics) and say why.
2) What is the audience appeal for an interview like this? How does the opening of the clip emphasise this appeal?
3) How is Plan B (the brand) represented in this text?

The demographics for this YouTube channel would be mainstreamers because this channel is regarded as trendy and something that is somewhat fashionable. This means that mainstreamers would be interested as this group of people consume media that is consumed by most other people thus the demographic name deriving from the word mainstream. Also C1,C2,D will be interested as they are commonly the younger audience.

The appeal for this interview is that it is an exclusive interview. This is emphasised in the beginning when the host was hiding and sneaking into the studio. This encourages and appeals to the audience because people would want to gain exclusive information.

Plan B's reputation is represented in this text because he is appearing in a YouTube channel that is predominantly watched by young people. This means that his reputation of being trendy and appealing to younger audiences is reinforced with his appearance on this channel, SBTV.
